The "TALIATA" is one of those concepts that cannot really be translated into another language. It would roughly indicate a very specific kind of "sideways look", a gaze that inspects, searches, wants to discover. A gaze that goes beyond the surface, that never stops asking questions but that can be welcoming at the same time.
In this astounding silver bracelet, the "tagliata" becomes an enchantress and charms us with its intense coral red "pupils".
The blue of the sea, the red of coral, the black of lava stone. These are only some of the sources of inspiration of Roberto Intorre, goldsmith from Palermo. Starting from that, he creates jewels which tell tales of Sicily. Each piece is unique, it has its own genesis, its story and identity, each one of them is authentic and infused with a mysterious energy, shaped by skilled hands and an excellent handicraft work.
Here you can find an article about Sicilian coral, with anecdotes and curious facts about its history.
