Hermann Nitsch a Palermo. Das Orgien Mysterien Theater collects a selections of artworks (paintings, relics, graphic works, photographs, films) which are essential to understand Hermann Nitsch's artistic research: born in Vienna in 1938, he was the founder of the Viennese Actionism and theorizer of the Theatre of Orgies and Mysteries).
The volume, published during one of his exhibitions in Palermo (ZAC, July 10th - September 20th 2015), provides a rich collection of photographs that traces the steps of one of the most important artists of the second post-war period in the Sicilian capital. Three monographic museums are dedicated to Hermann Nitsch: in Mistelbach (Austria), in Naples (Italy) e a Çanakkale (Turkey).
