The Don Corleone hands represent some traditional Sicilian and/or international gestures.
The thumb up is a pretty universal gesture, used since Romans time to determine life or death of the gladiators. Today it doesn't have its original meaning, but it still has a positive value. It's also universally known as the hitchhiking gesture.
Don Corleone ceramic is manufactured by artist Antonio Forlin, who lives and works in Taormina. His style is expressed through an explosion of colours, mixed with modern and geometrical lines.
