Cutting board/spoon rest made of ash tree wood from the Madonie Park, with a cavity for the ladle (made of olive wood) and polished up with extra-virgin olive oil.
Pala & Paletta® is a tribute of Putia Sicilian creativity to Castelbuono and "the best" Sicily, to its great handicraft, its industry and traditions. In Pala & Paletta there is all the woodworking excellence of our territory: the ash tree of the Madonie in the handcrafted cutting board, the olive wood in the ladle polished up with extra-virgin olive oil. In Pala & Paletta there is also the best expression of the local woodworkers that makes it a unique and original creation. A combination of form and function, in an original object of modern design. Its shape refers to the prickly pear cactus, one of the symbols of Sicily and used in Castelbuono as a natural container in the harvesting of manna.
The name "Pala & Paletta" comes from the Sicilian words used to call the prickly pear leaf ("pala" di fico d'india) and the wooden spoon ("paletta").
