Description
It'a an honour to celebrate such a powerful physical element, much loved as well as hated by the people living along its slopes: Mount Etna.
Its composition, with five platters and bowl on top as a container, make it easy to handle, not bulky, a chest made of plate after plate, that opens to reveal its contents.
Size 40 x 24 cm
"A place of ideas, dreams and utopia falling on reality, where the creator's action, simple yet strong, is part of the realisation's process."
The name, as well as the logo, si a combination of two concepts: serial production and handicraft. The barcode is typical of industrial manufacturing while the imprint from a finger highlights instead that each single passage of the production process is artisanal.
Born from an idea of Andrea Branciforti, Improntabarre (barimprint) is a studio and design lab that works with a web of artisans in making objects of the highest quality. Curious items that try to seize the moment of a society that goes too fast, by using and renovating an ancient material such as Sicilian ceramic, and by working with artisanal tools and techniques. Irony and functionality, all in objects that carry some sort of poetry as well.
All items of our collection are entirely handmade, so each piece has its personal character and no two are exactly alike. Any little imperfections that may occur are the result of our handcrafted work and prove the uniqueness of the final product.
