Artists: Stefania Cordone and Pole Ka
"Ritorno a Itaca" (Return to Itaca) is a book-journey into an imaginary world, a project born from the cooperation between artist Stefania Cordone from Castelbuono and French artist Pole Ka. The book is handmade and was manufactured in Lille at Le Cagibi, a space dedicated to art and micro-publishing.
The book is an illustrated journey told only through images. Each drawing was made by both artists at different times: one of them would begin by sketching lines and figures, landscapes and subjects, while the other would complete the work afterwards with her own inspiration. The result is a book that looks so well merged that it's impossible to tell where the work of one and the other begins and ends.
