A labyrinth of different directions spreads in front of the solitary figure of this painting: the body of a schoolboy, the head of a rabbit, he stands uncertain with his arms crossed, unable to make a choice.
Maybe it's a reference to Alice in Wonderland and the idea that "choosing" might mean "falling into the rabbit hole", but we can't tell for sure. As usual, when facing Andrea Buglisi's artwork, there's plenty of unpredictable meanings to be discovered.
Andrea Buglisi is a Sicilian artist who lives and works in Palermo. If you wish to know more, you can check his page on our Artists section.
