Description
"Wanna see my butterflies collection?"
This is one of those expressions whose meaning gets unfortunately lost in translation. In Italy, it's traditionally used when two people go out together and then, at the end of the date, one of the two (usually the guy) wants to invite the other (usually the girl) up, but doesn't want to be straightforward about it (it would be a little bit like the American "Netflix and chill").
We don't know the origin of this expression, but we wanted to pay an ironic tribute to Francesco Minà Palumbo, a prominent figure in the XIX century Castelbuono society: among other things, he was a naturalist, and ACTUALLY owned a butterfly collection. Therefore, we like to imagine him as the only existing person who could really say those words and mean them.
